Most organizations are able to provide some level of detail on the organizational goals, but rarely are the value for and needs of the target audience well defined. This exercise gives me insight into the different requirements of internal and external stakeholders/users and actually creates a checklist at a very detailed level for a feature review/requirements assessment. All from the point of view of the end audience.
