In 2008 I launched a private consulting practice built around two core values: enabling human potential and creating a sustainable society — two critical challenges facing humanity.
In my career, I have been tasked to build better websites, expand empires, develop new identities, and re-launch brands. I co-authored the digital approach of one of the leading interactive agencies in Canada (ICE), have written enough strategies to wallpaper every house I've ever lived in, and developed significant expertise (and some influence) in the social use of technology (social media).
Organizations of all sizes are turning to “the Internet” for reducing costs, improving retention, disintermediation, driving sales and more. Build a website and they will come, so to speak. Sadly, reality is not so kind; success is dependent not on the organization but rather how people choose and desire to use emerging technologies (both inside and outside the organization).
I offer over 15 years of experience in digital strategy development, user experience design and trying to stay current with the amazing pace of change in the industry. From a Senior Strategist at one of the largest digital shops in Canada to the President of a seven-person social engagement firm, I have worked with clients of all sizes to more effectively engage their customers using emerging technologies.
My skills, interests and learnings are most often placed into a "Digital Engagement" framework. This is often the space within which I play but it is not what I do. I create teams and I yearn to explore the space formed by the convergence of my interests in visual storytelling, digital and design thinking.
